PUBLIC VOLUNTEERING
Make an impactful contribution by joining our volunteer initiatives! Our public volunteering opportunities are available on a first-come, first-served basis, as scheduled on our volunteer calendar. Individuals and groups are encouraged to sign up according to available slots.
Public Volunteering is held most Tuesdays and Thursdays with two available sessions (Morning: 9 am - 11 am and Afternoon: 12 pm - 2 pm). See our Public Volunteer Calendar for all available dates. Registration for volunteer events opens about 2 months before the event.
While we cherish every helping hand, volunteer tasks are dictated by the mission, which means it's not always guaranteed you'll be packing care packages. If you're an individual and your heart is set on packing care packages, be sure to look for our Public Packing Party dates, hosted one Saturday a month and noted on our volunteer calendar. If you're a group looking to pack care packages, check out our sponsored packing events. Groups are limited to 5 participants during Saturday Public Packing Parties to allow for the public to pack.
If our volunteering dates don't align with your schedule or if your group exceeds our capacity, we invite you to explore alternative ways to assist on our service projects page or through our sponsored packing events.

Volunteer tasks consist of sorting, quality control, and assurance of donations, as well as light cleaning and organization. If you need accommodations to volunteer, please register and let a Packages From Home staff member know when you check in to volunteer.
Please note: Each volunteer needs to register individually and complete a waiver. Parents or guardians should register their children separately. As our volunteer activities are meticulously planned based on daily registrations, it's essential to pre-register. We kindly ask you not to visit the warehouse without prior registration.
